APPLICATION
Surface Preparation
Concrete substrates must be clean, dry and free from all foreign matter such as dirt, oil, grease, coatings and surface curing compounds. They must also be sound and have sufficient compressive strength (at least 25 N/mm²), with a tensile strength of at least 1,5 N/mm².
Concrete substrates must be prepared using abrasive equipment to remove cement laitance and obtain an open-textured surface. Weak concrete must be removed, and blowholes and voids must be completely filled. The cleaned surface must be prepared by a suitable mechanical abrasion method such as grinding, sandblasting or sanding to obtain a rough surface.
Dust generated after mechanical cleaning must be removed using industrial vacuum cleaners. Substrate repairs, filling of voids and surface levelling must be carried out with a mortar obtained by mixing 0.1–0.3 mm silica sand with EPOFLOOR PRIMEL 100 primer.
The surface must be primed before applying EPOFLOOR COAT BC 210. EPOFLOOR PRIMEL 100 must be used for priming. Ensure that the entire substrate is covered with primer.
Application Conditions
The moisture content of the concrete must be below 4%.
Relative air humidity must not exceed 80%.
Care must be taken against dew and condensation.
Dew and water-vapour condensation on untreated or newly coated floors may damage the coating and cause blistering. To prevent this, the temperature of the surface and uncured floor must be at least 3°C above the dew point.
Surface Temperature: Minimum +8°C, maximum +30°C
Ambient Temperature: Minimum +10°C, maximum +30°C
Material Temperature: Minimum +10°C, maximum +25°C
CONSUMPTION
Consumption varies according to the aggregate size used. For detailed information, please contact the Entegre Technical Department.
