Surface Preparation
The masonry units must be thoroughly cleaned of formwork oil, dust, paint and any substances that may reduce adhesion.
Mortar Preparation and Application
For masonry mortar;
Add the appropriate amount of water and powder (7 L water / 20 kg powder) to a clean mixing container and mix with a hand mixer until a homogeneous consistency is obtained. Allow the mortar to rest for 5 minutes, then remix. Apply the mortar to the glass blocks at a thickness of 3-10 mm and proceed with the masonry work. Wait at least 24 hours after laying before starking the joint-filling application.
For joint filling;
Add the appropriate amount of water and powder (7.5-8 L water / 20 kg powder) to a clean mixing container and mix with a hand mixer until a homogeneous consistency is obtained. Allow the mortar to rest for 5 minutes, then remix. Apply the mortar using a rubber-edged spatula. After 45 minutes, dampen the surface with a moist sponge.
CONSUMPTION
Approx. 2 kg/m² for an 8 mm joint thickness.
RECOMMENDATION
· Do not add any foreign material (lime, cement, gypsum, etc.) to the prepared mortar.
· Mortar that has exceeded its working time must not be reused by mixing it with water or dry mortar.
· Wait at least 24 hours before joint-filling application.
· For optimum performance, dampen the application surface 1 day after application.
· Application is recommended at temperatures between +5 °C and +35 °C.
· Do not use outside the specified areas of application or contrary to the application instructions.
· Do not inhale directly. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice if necessary.
