APPLICATION

Surface Preparation

The application surface must be free of formwork oil, dust, paint and similar substances. The application surface must be dry and protected against moisture.

Mortar Preparation and Application

First, water is poured into a clean mixing container, then GIPSFIX is added (approximately 15-16 L of water for a 25 kg bag) and mixed until all lumps are completely eliminated. Allow the mixture to stand for 5 minutes, then mix again to obtain a homogeneous consistency.

The prepared GIPSFIX is applied to gypsum board joints so as to embed the joint tape, followed by a second coat to completely fill the tapered edges of the boards. If necessary, additional coats may be applied after allowing each coat to fully set.

CONSUMPTION

Approx. 1 kg/m² (for 2 mm application thickness).

STORING

Gypsum-based products should be stored in a closed and dry environment. Gypsum bags should be stacked on pallets so that they do not come into contact with damp floors or walls. Long-term outdoor storage is not recommended.

All gypsum-based plasters are sensitive to fluctuating humidity conditions and the effects of ageing over time. This may cause variations in setting time and adversely affect product performance.

When stored under the recommended storage conditions, the products have a shelf life of 6 months from the date of production.
